Brittany Callahan has a compassionate and calm nature about her. She provides a calm, safe, and nurturing place for her client's to be heard and seen. Brittany works well with individuals to overcome life challenges, pain, suffering, trauma, attachment wounds, and to find the best version of oneself. There isn't a one size fits all approach in therapy and working with Brittany, her clients will get an individualized approach to meet each client where they are at. Whether that is working through relationship issues, overcoming anxiety or depression, or transitioning into a new phase of life.
Brittany has worked in mental health for 6 years and before that was mainly a stay-at-home mother of two children. Brittany fell in love with counseling after experiencing personal life challenges that led her to receive counseling for herself and her children. Brittany strives to help other individuals/women take back their lives in the midst of chaos. She graduated with her master's in professional counseling in October 2022 and interned at an outpatient counseling facility for a year and continued working there after until deciding to work in a private practice so that she can focus on the needs of her client's ore. She has experience working with individuals, families, adolescents, and ran an adolescent girl's group to teach emotional regulations skills, setting boundaries, and increasing self-esteem and confidence. She understands the multiple roles of being a mother, student, worker, and friend and how that has played a part in her ability to show up for her clients.
Brittany approaches therapy from an integrative holistic viewpoint. Her therapy style is influenced largely by client-centered, CBT (Cognitive Behavorial Therapy), trauma therapy, attachment-based therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and faith-based counseling. She individualizes each client treatment goals to what is best for the client.
