About

Andrew Wooten understood from a young age how important and impactful families and relationships are to us all. Through experiencing a divided and broken childhood home, this created a desire in Andrew to help families navigate the challenges of life, family dynamics and relationships to promote family harmony. Through the years Andrew has developed a passion to not only help families, but marriages and couples as well, guiding them on how to create a stronger connection with each other and focus on them working as a team to deal with the endless changes and challenges of a relationship and life stressors.

While completing his Associate and Bachelor’s degree in Family & Human Development at Arizona State University, Andrew spent many years working with adolescents and young adults developing a passion for this age group. Walking alongside them as they navigate the constant changes and influences of their environments. Andrew is currently pursuing his Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.

Personal Life

Andrew was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved with his family to Arizona when he was 11 years old and has lived in Northern Arizona and the Phoenix area since. When he is not working or studying, he can be found outdoors exploring Arizona with his wife and 2 dogs, reading a good book, or watching his favorite movies. Andrew is also an avid sports fan and can always be found representing his San Francisco sport teams (except for football… Go Cardinals!).

Approach

Andrew feels strongly that the relationships in our lives, whether it be a friend, family member, our peers, or significant others, are so important and can have such an impact on our lives and mental health. Andrew also understands that life can be hard and that every person deals with very different but very real challenges. He has a strong passion to listen and work with people to identify how to deal with, overcome, and heal from the variety of challenges and situations that life throws at us.

Using a systemic and holistic perspective, Andrew strives to provide a listening ear and a safe and supportive environment for everyone he works with. Providing guidance, direction, and individual treatment plans, Andrew wants to help each person address their hurts, struggles and hang-ups to help them become the best versions of themselves and improve upon their relationships.
