About

Emily Burnham first decided to become a therapist in second grade after her classmates asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up. Ever since, she has sought opportunities to further her education about interpersonal relationships. Born and raised in Arizona, Emily is a native to the area. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Pyschology from Brigham Young University. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through Capella University. When she's not at work or school, you can find Emily playing racquetball with her family, ice-skating, or listening to an audiobook.

Deeply rooted in connection, Emily prioritizes a warm, empathetic, and genuine therapeutic relationship where clients can explore the areas where they feel stuck. Drawing from a foundation of therapeutic modalities, Emily collaborates with her clients to create a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs and goals. A few of these integrative therapy models include Collaborative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Structural Therapy. Emily practices from a systemic and holistic perspective, believing that problems arise from a variety of influences, not solely from within an individual. Every relationship we have impacts our beliefs, thought processes, and interactions. Challenges are a normal part of life, signaling the areas in our life where change and growth are needed. Sometimes a bit of guidance and direction is necessary to face and overcome our difficulties.
